On Sunday, November 10th, 2024, the Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site was filled with gratitude and celebration as we hosted our annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.
Amanda Demo is a digital PR and content specialist passionate about storytelling, history, and community connection. Since 2005, her life and work have taken her to the east coast, west coast, and even the “third coast” along Lake Michigan before returning home to Michigan in 2022. On October 20, 2024, the Packard Proving Grounds welcomed car enthusiasts, families, and community members to their Annual Fall Open House, and it was an event that exceeded all expectations. In the world of automotive elegance and heritage, few events rival the prestige of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This year, I had the privilege of speaking with Mark Smucker, the president of the Packard Motor Car Foundation, who achieved an impressive 3rd place in his class at this renowned competition.

The Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site is owned by the Packard Motor Car Foundation and is a non-profit 501c3 organization. It is funded by foundation grants, individual and corporate contributions, service groups and events. All donation to the Packard Motor Car Foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.
